The latest Fortnite Season 7 start date news
Fortnite Season 6 is ending this week, and the next event is being revealed slowly via Epic Games through new teaser images.
Fortnite Season 7 will see a new theme and battle pass debut, which looks set to revolve around the winter period.
Epic Games have been tight-lipped over what they will be offering later this month, but there are a few ideas we can glean from their latest online hints.
A new image of a snowboarder and a caption that reads: “A frigid day dawns… 2 days to Season 7,” was posted today.
This suggests that Epic Games have big plans in December, including possible map changes and new vehicles.
This will probably include a big new Winter 2018 celebration, complete with special LTM and outfits to unlock or buy.
The idea that snow will appear on the map is almost a given now, especially when you look at the new teaser images.
It’s unclear if this will cover the whole map, or will be part of a special area.
Guessing is always dangerous when it comes to Fortnite updates, but it seems fans might see now cover the whole map.
Epic Games could then pull it back slowly until it only covers special areas, much as they have done during past events.
But that doesn’t mean that Fortnite Season 7 will be dominated by winter gear for the whole ten weeks run.
FORTNITE SEASON 7 SKINS AND BATTLE PASS
Epic Games has yet to announce what they have planned for Fortnite Season 7.
However, there have been a few hints during Fortnite Season 6 on what it might contain.
Like with the start of Season 6, Fortnite fans can probably expect a big event to mark the holiday season.
Small in-game events have begun and it seems certain that much of the Fortnite Season 7 battle pass will contain seasonal designs.
However, there will also be other stuff thrown in, providing a varied amount of content to collect.
Map changes will be included on Fortnite Season 7, and will likely see changes to accommodate the new snow biome.
Where that will happen and what current locations will be affected remains pure speculation until Epic Games release a new trailer.
FORTNITE SEASON 7 TRAILER RELEASE
Fans are on the lookout for the new Fortnite Season 7 trailer, which could be shared any day now.
Epic Games might be saving it for a special event, or will release two trailers, one to tease season 7 and another one for when it goes live.
There have been several “leaked” trailers posted online that claim to be the real deal.
Some of these look more real than others, but they don’t seem to offer the same level of polish as official releases from Epic Games.
So anything you see on the internet before December 6 that isn’t from a trusted source should probably be taken with a big pinch of salt.
There have also been suggestions that the new Fortnite Season 7 trailer will be shown during the Game Awards.
News is expected during the awards show; however, this might be for something other than the new battle pass.
Fortnite Season 7 will add new content to the game
WHEN DOES SEASON 6 END AND FORTNITE SEASON 7 START?
Fortnite Season 6 is scheduled to end on Thursday, December 6, 2018.
This makes it a little different as it appears that Fortnite Season 7 is also being scheduled to start on the same day.
That would mean Season 6 ending earlier on, with Season 7 starting in the afternoon in the UK.
Fortnite Battle Royale is usually patched at around 9am in the UK, followed by a few hours of server downtime.
This would suggest that Fortnite Season 7 will start around midday in the UK, on December 6.
Things could run a little differently based on what time zone and region you live in.
There’s a chance the Season 6 game time could end on a different date if you live on the west coast of the United States.
However, it’s also worth noting that Epic Games could alter the date for the end of Season 6 in the coming days, and means fans should keep an eye out for the latest developments.
