This Wednesday marked 60 years since the “Thriller” singer was born and fans from around the world came together to celebrate.
Jackson passed away on 25 June, 2009, from an overdose of prescription drugs.
But many fans to this day, remain adamant he is still alive, with countless theories doing the rounds online.
But now, just two days after what would have been his 60th birthday, a new video has surfaced that could be a contender for the strongest piece of evidence yet.
“Michael Joseph Jackson is dead and Michael Joe Jackson is alive”
According to Jackson’s passport, he was given the middle name “Joe” after his father.
But the death certificate used the full spelling of “Joseph”.
Though it would seem to just a nickname, a fan reportedly quizzed his sister La Toya on Twitter what he full name was, where she confirmed it was Michael Joe Jackson, but the post has apparently been removed.
Fans around the world are now claiming this is proof his death was faked.
The video footage was uploaded to YouTube, where it has already racked up nearly 60,000 views.
“Michael Joseph Jackson is dead and Michael Joe Jackson is alive,” one claimed.
Another added: “Michael Joe Jackson is not dead – he faked it.”
And a third suggested: “Michael Joseph Jackson must be the double of the real King.”
The talented artist has been surrounded with controversy since his passing nine years ago.
His father reportedly made him “physically sick” when he visited because he abused the singer in his childhood.
And the superstar was the subject of rumours from the press as his skin colour changed throughout his life.
But Daily Star Online revealed the truth behind the rumours in an interview with family insider Sharon Carpenter.
His name has never been far from a conspiracy theory over the years too.
His former stylist Steve Erhardt wrote a cryptic Facebook post teasing fans with “very good news”.
And his bodyguard Matt Fiddes believes the “King of Pop” would have “ended up in jail” is he was still alive.
